CHAMPAGNE DANIEL GERBAUX & FILS
The Know-how
Champagne Gerbaux uses traditional techniques, the hand-picked fruit of a small farm, new technologies and the inspiration of today’s sustainability and environmental practices. Blending modern and traditional practices our processes impose rigor, precision, and control during every stage until harvest. Our fruit is derived from hard work and a meticulous process. Our quality comes from our selection of the best grapes and production of the best blends reflective of our rich soil.
Our Grapes
Amidst small villages, the hillsides of the Marne Valley provide the perfect conditions for growing the best champagne grapes. We grow the three varieties characteristic of champagne, which are the Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay (blend of black grapes and white grapes).
The Grounds
Since the 12th century, the Valley of the Marne has produced some of the best grape varieties. The chalky clay and climate indicative of this area combined with expertise and tradition continue to yield a wine like no other.

THE
STORY
The story...
One name,
one familly history,
one tradition...
A family heritage that started in 1901…
After being freed as a prisoner of war, Robert Gerbaux returned to the vineyards of Chezy-Sur-Marne to continue the work started by his father Emile in 1901.
In the 1960s, Robert became a co-founder of a wine growers' cooperative of the Valley of the Marne, under the name of "COVAMA" associated with the well-known champagne Maison Pannier. Visionaries for their time, some of the region’s wine growers including Robert, supplied Maison Pannier with casks of wine to be transformed into champagne. Originally, the champagne was given back to the growers for their personal consumption, which eventually led to the sale of champagne that is today labeled Champagne Gerbaux.
Maison Gerbaux was one of the first of its kind in the village to trade champagne. The vision of Robert and his wife, Marguerite, was not to produce one good bottle of champagne but to begin a heritage of fine wine making. As a lover of the earth and his vineyards, Robert worked the soil and the vines to ensure the best possible selection of grapes. From this elegant fruit and the refined process, Champagne Gerbaux was born.
Very early in his career, Robert realized the importance of passing his legacy of wine making to the next generation. One son in particular, Daniel, shared his father’s passion and set out to continue the tradition of making a consistently superior wine. This legacy continues today with Daniel’s son, Romain.

WINE OF QUALITY AND MATURITY
A blend of all three grapes introduces exceptional quality – the Pinot Noir for its character and power, the Pinot Meunier for its balance and nuance, and Chardonnay for its finesse.
All of our Cuvee Brut Traditions are aged and refined for three to five years, and our Millesime is produced when our grapes reach a peak of sweetness as defined by the CIVC.
*BRUT QUALITY / you can also find other types of different quantities bottles 3L - 6L - 12 liters and more and CUSTOM labels Available only by request.
